There have been swingers around since long before the internet became popular…so how did swingers hook up in the pre-net days? Many found each other in personal ads in alternative newspapers and swinger magazines.
Both continue to be a good way to find partners today, even if the net has replaced them in popularity. Most larger cities have alternative newspapers (like the Village Voice in New York, the Phoenix in Boston, New Times in many cities and many others) and in personals section you’ll likely find a few swingers looking for fun. The good news is you’ve already narrowed it down to find someone who’s in your town; the bad news is scams and fake ads abound. Be warned – don’t agree to pull your wallet out to meet someone from a newspaper ad!
Swinger magazines, such as Connections, have been around for many years. It used to be that you’d have to go into an adult book store – a place few couples would dare visit back in the 60′s and 70′s – to find a swinger magazine, but today, they seem to be everywhere. Many have ‘zoned’ editions, so you’ll be looking at ads directly from people in your state or region.
We can’t vouch for how well finding swingers in alternate papers and magazines works, but it seems like it’s worth a shot!
