On-premise parties are different, to be sure.

If the wild, orgy-filled rooms you had in mind weren’t what you came across at the off-premise party, you’ll get what you’re looking for at most on-premise parties. Because on-premise clubs can be pretty intense, it’s our suggestion that you don’t make an on-premise club your first swinging adventure, unless, of course, you’re the very adventurous type!
There’s a wild variety of on-premise clubs, even more so than off-premise. There are also a lot fewer on-premise places…it’s tough to find a place that’s big enough to handle a lot of couples but still not run across any zoning or adult business issues.
On-premise clubs range from private houses (we know one that’s been added on to about a half-dozen times to keep up with demand) to clubs in strip-mall settings to free-standing structures behind guarded gates (such as the famous Plato’s Repeat in Ft. Lauderdale).
At first glance, on-premise parties might look a lot like off-premise dances. You’ll generally have a bar (again, usually BYOB), munchies (some have full gourmet-quality buffets), plenty of seating area and a dance floor.
What’s different lies behind that first view…usually a set of ‘back rooms’ set aside with mattresses for sex ‘on-premise.’
Most clubs will have a series of rooms, often with different themes. Several will likely be semi-private rooms, where you can head off with that lucky couple and close the door and have some fun. Some have fantasy rooms – mood lighting, mirrors, sex toys, swings, all kinds of wild things. Usually there’s at least one ‘group room’ – a big, open area where any sexual activity is available for viewing by anyone else in the room. Often, the rooms end up as orgy rooms with large groups of people busy doing their thing.
Every on-premise club will have some sort of locker room – generally set between the ‘bar/party’ area and the play rooms. Most have rules that say you must be undressed – or covered by a towel – if you’re in the play rooms, to keep out those who just want to watch but not show any skin.
Upon entering an on-premise club, you’ll first pay your fee – usually a fairly hefty charge compared to attending an off-premise party – and be led on a tour of the club. All of the clubs rules are explained – you might be distracted by what you see, but pay attention, you don’t want to be booted out later!
After the tour, you’ll drop off your booze at the bar. You’ll mingle, drink and eat and do some dancing early in the evening – most ‘party rooms’ don’t get rolling until late in the evening. Slowly, people will start venturing back to the play rooms, and by the after-midnight hours, there will generally be a lot more people playing in back than mingling in front…but you’ll also see people ‘coming up for air’ from the play rooms, heading out for a quick drink or smoke before heading back in. Most clubs have rules about remaining covered in the bar/dance areas, even if it’s just a towel.
The type of people you find at on-premise clubs is a lot like those at off-premise clubs. Generally, the more ‘high-class’ a club is, the younger and better-looking the crowd is (Plato’s gets a large number of model-types every weekend), but no couple is ever turned away, even from the most exclusive clubs. Smaller, more ‘homey’ on-premise parties tend to attract an older, more average-person crowd.
Some people try out on-premise clubs and are turned off by the intensity of it, the idea of group sex just too much to handle. Others find on-premise clubs a lot more fun than off-premise parties, as you’re always guaranteed that something is going to be going to to at least watch!
Our suggestion is to give on-premise clubs a try…you might find yourself in the middle of an orgy and loving every minute of it!
